It’s not there unless I move like this, so don’t think it’s tinnitus. I get a sound & feeling in my head occasionally, not found any reason yet that ignites it, I have named it the human purr had this for years, consultant looked at me as if I was mad cause I labelled it the purr. An interesting note is that the practicioner I saw also had low regard for the field as a whole, and I don’t think she would give a blanket recommendation for treatment. So any massaging of that region isn’t being done to move the bones, it’s being done (whether the practitioner knows it or not) entirely for the benefit of the muscles, which is what helped you. I have mild tinnitus although it is always there I am not bothered by it unless I read something like this article. It’s like breathing I don’t notice it until someone says something about it. When it starts pulsing I can’t hear anything as it is so loud it makes speaking and listening to my friends family and colleagues impossible unless I hold the vein in my neck so I can hear. I was told it’s just tinnitus and basically to get used to it although it might just go away. And no matter how you try to explain the sound to others, there’s simply no way for anyone to understand unless they get in your head. I am just living with tinnitus, and don’t notice the not too loud but more or less permanent ringing sound all that much.
