Tinnitus is getting louder: I’ve had tinnitus for a few months

Hey, I have gotten my tinnitus for 5.5 months now because of a loud party at 18. It has started as a very quiet ringing in the ears which I only could hear at night in bed. People say it gets better when you get used to the sound after a few months but why doesnt it for me? Theres still a little hope that my T will get away completely one day, but I dont think I can accomplish that when Im thinking about and listening out for it daily. I’ve been waiting for it to reduce in intensity but it only ever goes up and not down. Hope this gives some hope and help to others that read this, the moral being don’t give up. -My doctor had tinnitus himself and was a good example of someone living with it. I’ve mentioned it a few times to my ENT but after getting funny looks and no response, i’ve given up. I feel so sorry for all of you sufferers!!
